Legal help without law firm prices.

Fixed price, agreed before we start.

Upload your contract before you sign and an advisor reads it. Honest assessment within 24 hours. Free and confidential. Contracts under Spanish and other European law are our specialty for clients abroad.

Most legal problems are too small for a law firm, and too big to carry alone.

Those are the ones we take: the contract you are about to sign, the claim you do not know how to raise, the negotiation you do not want to walk into alone.

Services

Eight services. The price is right here, not in a timesheet.

All prices are fixed and include VAT. For comparison, a Norwegian lawyer's hour typically costs NOK 2,500 to 4,000, before the work has begun.

Questions and answers

If you are asking yourself this, you are not alone.

Are you lawyers?+

No, and that is why the price looks the way it does. We provide legal assistance outside court proceedings, as section 66 of the Norwegian Advocates Act allows. That covers contracts, claims, complaints and negotiations, which is most of the legal trouble people actually have. The boundary is stated in writing in every engagement.

What if my case has to go to court?+

Then you need a lawyer, and we tell you immediately, not after three invoices. You get your case from us fully organised: chronology, documents and assessment in one bundle, so the lawyer can start on the work instead of the sorting. That tends to save you their most expensive hours.

We already use a law firm. Do we have to switch?+

No. A good law firm earns its rates on the matters that belong there: litigation, large transactions, high stakes. What it was never built for is the weekly paperwork of running a life or a business: the employment contract, the supplier terms, the letter that has to go out on Friday. That is our side of the line. Most of our clients keep both.

What does it cost, honestly?+

What it says on this page, VAT included, agreed in writing before we start. No meter running in the background. If a case turns out bigger than agreed, that is our risk, not your bill.

How fast do I get an answer?+

The first assessment arrives within 24 hours on weekdays, and it costs nothing. If your case is not worth spending money on, that is what the assessment will say.

What happens to my documents?+

They are treated as confidential from the first message, and confidentiality is a contractual term of every engagement. You get your own case folder with full view of everything we produce, and your documents are never used for anything but your case.

The advisors

The people reading your contract.

Fabian Fiane, advisor at Rettmessig
Fabian Fiane
Advisor, business law and contracts

Fabian holds a master's degree in finance and a passion for law that has shaped his whole direction: business law and contracts, the field where the two disciplines meet.

It is a combination that gives our clients something they rarely get from a single advisor. A contract is not just obligations and pitfalls. It is numbers, risk and incentives. Fabian reads it with both eyes at once: what you are binding yourself to, and what it will actually cost or return. His advice is legally rigorous and financially sensible in the same breath.

At Rettmessig, Fabian works with contract review, drafting and negotiation support for individuals and small and medium-sized businesses.

Like the rest of the house, Fabian is an advisor, not a lawyer. We provide legal assistance outside court proceedings, and we tell you straight away if your case needs a lawyer.
